Ancillary Gaussian modes activate the potential to witness non-Markovianity

چکیده
We study how the number of employed modes impacts ability to witness non-Markovian evolutions via correlation backflows in continuous-variable quantum dynamics. first prove existence Gaussian that do not show any revivals correlations between mode evolving through dynamics and a single ancillary mode. then demonstrate this scenario radically changes when two are considered. Indeed, we same can along specific bipartition three-mode states employed, where only one is subjected evolution. These results be interpreted as form activation phenomenon non-Markovianity detection proven for types correlations, entanglement steering, classes evolutions, classical noise model Brownian motion model.

Non-Markovianity of Gaussian Channels.
We introduce a necessary and sufficient criterion for the non-Markovianity of Gaussian quantum dynamical maps based on the violation of divisibility. The criterion is derived by defining a general vectorial representation of the covariance matrix which is then exploited to determine the condition for the complete positivity of partial maps associated with arbitrary time intervals. Such construc...
متن کاملNon-Markovianity through accessible information
Quantum discord (QD) measures the fraction of the pairwise mutual information that is locally inaccessible in a multipartite system. Fundamental aspects related to two important measures in quantum information theory, namely the entanglement of formation (EOF) and the conditional entropy, can be understood in terms of the distribution of this form of local inaccessible information (LII). As suc...
متن کاملThermodynamic power of non-Markovianity
The natural framework to discuss thermodynamics at the quantum level is the theory of open quantum systems. Memory effects arising from strong system-environment correlations may lead to information back-flow, that is non-Markovian behaviour. The relation between non-Markovianity and quantum thermodynamics has been until now largely unexplored. Here we show by means of Landauer's principle that...
متن کاملNon-Markovianity hinders Quantum Darwinism
We investigate Quantum Darwinism and the emergence of a classical world from the quantum one in connection with the spectral properties of the environment. We use a microscopic model of quantum environment in which, by changing a simple system parameter, we can modify the information back flow from environment into the system, and therefore its non-Markovian character. We show that the presence...
متن کاملNon-Markovianity and the flow of information
To understand the information flow between a system and it environment, we based our studies on the decoherence program [1]where a system S is coupled to a measurement apparatus A, which in turn interacts with an environment E . In this sense, it introduces the concept of assisted knowledge, where the environment E , acquires information about a system S, by means of its measurement apparatus A.
